Controls are very difficult and there are optimization problems

The next games will have better optimizations and controls. This was my first game like this, and I initially started on it not knowing if I would finish it. At this point fixing most of the issues would require a full rewrite anyways, and I will be making a second Feraline in the future, a few more games down the line.


What controls issues are you having?

Well... In my opinion, NSFW games should be more easy to play.  A good start for the first game but there is an FPS problem in the mobile version and I cannot have sexual intercourse, I think it would be better if you assign buttons for types of sex, anyway please keep working, have a nice day

The Android version does not work

I apologize for the delay, I'd been trying to figure out why this was happening for some for a while now. I finally found the solution and have released a patch build. Please try the new Android build and let me know if it works for you!

the game lags quite a bit on the donation version and crashes it lags less on the non donation one for mobile 

This might be my bad! I may've made the donation build with the PC configuration by accident. I released another build just now, please give that a try and let me know if it's better.

This is a pretty good nsfw feral game. Theres far to little male on feral games out there if you ask me. I would like to see some more customization though, tbh. The cat, the human size and shape, backgrounds etc. As it is though, definitely worth the $2 donation price.

Some of these features will be in the next game, expect to see more features with each game, as I'm just now learning to make games like this. My biggest weakness for most of this currently is art. I'm not good at art and it takes me days to get a decent result like I did here, so something like multiple backgrounds would be quite a challenge at my current skill level.

I will be remaking Feraline in the future with better features and quality, but I plan to get more games out first to get better at making them. I'm currently working on a big cats game!

never mind, android decided to prove to be an stupid company again my removing access to the data folders to the root. meaning currently theres no way to put files into any data folder on android ~w~

Yeah, unfortuantely there is no way that i know of to make it work with the donation key. But I will make another android build with the donation key built in! So you would just uninstall the original Feraline and if youve paid $2, you can download and install the donation version.

A small update for everyone. I've released an Android and Linux build. There are no game changes, just new builds.

Please note that the Android build was only tested on one device. If you experience any issues, please post a comment below or create a post in the support channel on my Discord server.

i tried multiple times but it continuses to crash every times i try to start an interaction, i can go to settings , change everything but as son as i click on the cat godot just crashes

Have you tried both the regular build and the vulkan build? If yes, can you list your PC specs for me?

My gpu doesn't support vulkan, i have an amd hd 5850

From what I'm reading, your GPU isn't supported by the engine I use. I can still try to confirm that it's impossible, if you're able to run the game through the console and send me the output.

If you're on Windows, you can do this by shift-right clicking the empty space in the folder where Feraline is stored (don't right click on any files), click Open in Terminal/PowerShell/Command Prompt, and enter "./Feraline.exe"

It may be a VRAM issue on your card. Feraline weirdly requires a few gigs of VRAM due to how Godot compresses textures, and the textures (characters, background, etc) are very high resolution.


Are these the only errors you receive before the game crashes? Neither of those are problematic errors.

I had tried a few times and ultimately ended up having issues with the building/packaging system for android. I do want to try again, though I can't promise any results. If I do make a mobile version, it will only be Android. I don't have the tools to test or develop for iOS.

Update: I believe I solved the issues I was having, and I've released an Android build. Feel free to give it a try and let me know how it goes!

Not actively on this one, unless bugs are found. But I am going to work on a remake with much better quality and some new features in the future! I have no ETA, but I will be releasing likely 2 new games before then. One of those games is nearly ready for release. I'll have more information and updates in the discord server in my about me page.

Hi again everyone! I am planning to create a community/group for my NSFW games soon, as there isn't an elegant solution (that I'm aware of) on itch to make announcements, small progress updates, or ask for user input, not to mention no way for anyone to directly message me about requests or support.

Letting everyone know, I've been working on a collaboration project for an anthro game for a while now that should be released soon. I've learned a lot from making this project, and I will be rewriting Feraline from the ground up with the new systems and new features. Multiple "penetrators", better penetration (no more square weirdness), better animations, better facial expressions, eye movements, etc. No ETA on this, but it will be a major update for those interested!

Update to this! I've been practicing with some 3D stuff (I have quite a bit of past experience with 3D games, but need to practice 3D modeling as I've always made low-poly models). I'd like to know if people would rather see a remake of Feraline in 2D or 3D. 3D means more positions and settings as it would be less of a pain to add onto, and less "hack-y" to get things to look right.

Personally I wouldn't mind either. If the design of the character/characters will remain as good and if it's gonna be easier for you make it in 3D, I would love to check it out!!! Have a good day!!!

I'm leaning towards the remake being 2D, and just having a 3D version on the backburner, working on it on and off for a while until I'm happy with it. I would likely release a few other games before the 3D version of Feraline.

There could be some polls on the character designs for easier decisions. That's why telegram or discord has to be created

I think 2D fits better with the original version of the game - While 3D would be fun, it'd give a completely different feel to the game which might make it feel far removed from the current experience. It might make it more difficult to work with, but I think it definitely is worth the trouble.

Of course, the final decision is ultimately up to you. I just think it'd be nice to keep the original feel of the game there in a Feraline remake.

This is true! I'm leaning towards 2D for the remake, and I will continue practicing 3D. Later into the future, I can release a 3D version of Feraline when I feel it's up to standards.

I do plan to start working on a remake soon-ish, but I can't know how long it will be until it's released. I do hope to have the previously mentioned anthro game released soon, as it's mostly finished and just waiting for the artist to have time to finish the art for it.

jesus why is this so dam laggy? i got like 40 gigs of ram and yet it's lagging more than cyberpunk77. although very nice game, wish i had money at the moment for the full version

What CPU and GPU? Someone else was having the same issue and I've been trying to resolve it. I'm not sure how to reproduce it, as even my old laptop runs it perfectly.

Edit: The new Vulkan build should fix the problem!

Are you sure another software isn't slowing down your PC? Your specs should be overkill. My old laptop with a dual core CPU and 4GB of RAM runs it perfectly. I can make a Vulkan build if you'd like, but it seems unnecessary. I would check and see if there's any antivirus conflicting with it, along with checking your GPU settings to see if there's any settings that could be causing issues. I know VSync does this for some games on specific monitors.

Let me know if anything changes, if not I'll publish a Vulkan build.

All downloads work properly on my end. Which file are you trying to download? It could be an extension on your browser conflicting with the download.

I don't understand what you mean by that. It shouldn't require any installation besides placing the file next to the exe and pck file. Do keep in mind it has to retain its name. It must be named exactly "donation_key" for the game to register it.

That depends on how your web browser is configured. It likely downloaded to your downloads folder.

I'm glad you like it! I will be making more games in the near future, I'll likely make a canine game as well, especially if there's high demand for it! I'm just not sure when exactly, as I have other ideas in mind beforehand.

Currently I have plans for an anthro game (not sure what species yet) and a feral dragon game. I will also be trying to make 3D games in the future!

Will the canine one could be interesting.  A more interesting thought is down the line after a number are made how many could be merged together as an updated an expanded game.  The name of the merged games could be "Feral Manor".

I uploaded a Mac build, please give it a try and let me know how it goes. The game engine gave me this warning, but having never used a Mac, I'm not really sure what this means. I'm assuming it's the anti-malware built-in? If so, please let me know if it prompts you at all.

hmm i cant get it to load at all, so it loads the godot game engine logo, but nothing after that. When i first loaded the game i had the content warning come up, but when i clicked on the "i am 18+" i wouldnt continue forward, and i  haven't been abled to recreate it.

That was a very good idea to run it through terminal, it looks as if the game isn't registering any of the files. I don't know much about Mac but I'll try to get this working. I'm going to make another build that will force all of the assets to load. If this doesn't work, see if any antivirus may be interfering with it.

Okay, I've released an updated Mac build. Please give this one a try and see if the results are any different. I did confirm that the files are in the build, so hopefully it works correctly this time.

I can't see the cat after I open the file(only saw the background and the text), the cat only flash like 1 sec when I open it then disappear.

How do I fix?

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you're having issues. Does this happen after restarting the game as well? If so, please provide me with the log file and I'll see if there's any relevant errors there. The log file is located at "%AppData%\Godot\app_userdata\Feraline\logs\godot.log"

If you open your file browser in Windows, and click the path bar at the top, you can copy and paste everything inside the quotes above and press enter. It should open the log file.

I looked through all of the messages there, and they should be entirely unrelated to what you're experiencing. Can I ask where you have the game installed to? And if you've tried re-downloading?

Exact same issue here, I have it on windows and the dialogue somehow shows up but not the characters, nothing from redownloading to running as administrator seems to work.

May I see your PC specs? (Operating system, CPU, GPU, RAM)

I've been trying to reproduce this bug for days now, yet nothing I'm trying causes it to happen.


And you're saying character(s)? Both characters disappear? If this is the case, that narrows things down a little, to likely just being something with the animated objects.

Operating system, windows 10 version 22H2

GPU: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 (3.9 GB)

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz 

Ram: 7.8 GB (most of it is usually in use though.)

When it comes to the issue itself the background appears, the dialogue text appears, the bars on the side and the 3 top buttons including the setting buttons, but the cat and the penis simply aren't there.

Your specs are almost identical to my laptop's specs, and it runs on there. So luckily your PC shouldn't be the issue.

If you can, run the game through the console, start the game and when you don't see the character, screenshot the output in the console (before closing the game).

To do this, shift+right click on the folder where the game is stored, and open in command prompt (or open powershell window here). Enter "./Feraline.exe" into the console. This should open the game with all of the game's output going to the console.

Another thing to try if there are no related errors there, would be to update your Intel video drivers. But it's possible (albeit unlikely) to cause problems from that.

What kind of content would you like to see in a new update? 👀

*  Will there is always the option of being able to swap the cat out for known cats (I.E. Mittens, Luna, Moonshine, and Ect..).  Maybe make it somewhat a slow build were the cats have to be bought or unlocked by clicking on something in game and when they are not being used are standing or sitting off from the side.

*   How about an option to change the background (shifting the room to something else like a couch or bed).

*  Maybe even an auto thing were just one click on a spot instead of holding it manually.

*  Maybe an option of flipping from their back to them standing towards the player and/or away.  Possibly even straddling the player in either cowgirl  or reverse cowgirl position.


I mean I can keep going on but I will stop right here for now.

I like the idea of different character. I will have to research copyright laws a little more for franchise characters, and characters like Moonshine I would have to get permission from the owner of the character. I also really like the idea of the other characters being in the background sometimes.

I already have the functionality for different backgrounds, just need to draw in some custom background.

The functionality to click instead of click and hold is already in the game, however there is a terrifying bug that I need to fix. If you click on a spot then click on another while it's still transitioning, not nice things happen.

I like the idea of different positions (especially straddling) very much! I do plan on making a 3D version of the game in the future, or at least trying to. I'm going to be practicing 3D modeling before then, but if I can get it up to standards then a 3D version of this game would have endless potential, as I wouldn't have to redraw the entire character for each different position, and the character can be posed more easily.
